Letters to the Editor
These are the letters from myself and a few hateful Leftists that we have been exchanging in our local paper, the Lititz Record Express.
I am posting these for the sake of those that have not seen the older letters, and so that people can see for themselves the hysteria of the Left and their hatred for anyone that disagrees with them.

Who Are Democrats?
Democrats are Marxists. America wages war against Marxists. We do not elect them as President.
A Democrat is someone that gives loans based on skin color, bankrupts our country, “bails us out” with our own money, but continues to use government regulations and our courts to force banks to give loans based on skin color.
They think that having 95% of the mainstream media is still not enough, hence The Fairness Doctrine.
They are pirates of our legal system. Leftist groups like the ABA and the ACLU use lawsuits, fear, and intimidation to steal our property and to achieve their political goals.
They attack Christianity, but give moral dictatorial control to hippies and other Leftists despite America being the world’s biggest collection of Protestant Christians, founded by Christians, guided by Christian principles, and historically recognized as a Christian country by its citizens.
They convinced America that Separation of Church and State is actually in the Constitution.
They love Central Planning and Control, not fear it like our Founding Fathers.
They hate the restrictions placed on them by our Constitution and Federalism.
They will never admit that massive welfare and regulation from Big Government results in massive power for those in, and that support, Big Government.
They use “racism” as a boogeyman to shut up all opposition to their extreme and dangerous policies. They absurdly say culture equals race, and that all cultures are equal. They use multiculturalism to promote third world cultures to the detriment and obliteration of ours.
They take 50% of our income in taxes (ask any accountant), 80-90% of which is waste and fraud.
The Left abides zero criticism. Hysteria, hate, self-righteousness, and name calling replace reasoned discussion.
They call us fascists, homophobes, xenophobes, Nazis, etc. to demean our logical, principled beliefs and opinions.
They walk into voting booths, pull a lever, and vote away our freedoms and our rights.
They should think twice before electing a Marxist to rule over us. There will be hell to pay.

Letter #1
Letter was ignorant
I could not believe my eye when I read the letter from Joe Bennett.
Mr. Bennett, how dare you imply the Democrats are not Christians? Are you stupid enough to believe that Republicans all are Christians?
You are not a Christian. You are a racist, a bigot and an ignorant man. How can you even have the audacity to call yourself a Christian?
People like you are a disgrace to society, whether they are Democrats, Republicans, Christians or non-Christians. You are a disgrace to the human race! You must be a bitter and unhappy man, and you should be pitied rather than hated.

Letter #2
Letter should not have been published
Shame on you and shame on the Lititz Record Express for publishing the recent letter from Joe Bennett. Such a vile, hateful and divisive piece of rubbish has no place in a family-oriented publication.
While no rational adult from any political party will take those ravings seriously, impressionable children have access to this paper and may mistake the lunacy as fact.
It also legitimizes the radical fringe elements so as to appear to be mainstream views. Mr. Bennett is obviously so full of hate that as such there is no point in attempting rebuttal. However, as guardians of the public trust, the editors of this paper are called to a higher standard.
Hate mail, no matter if it be called "opinion," should have no place in our local paper.

Letter #3
I am a Democrat
I was quite surprised and outraged that you would print a letter ("Who are Democrats" Oct. 9.) from someone who advocates, as he does on the Web site www.OurRepublic.us, killing American citizens for their political beliefs.
Still, I do believe in freedom of speech, and especially freedom of the press.
In his letter last week, Joe Bennett attacked all Democrats for being Marxists, among other things. If I understood his letter, we are also financially irresponsible, bullies, dictatorial hippies, anti-Christian, haters of our Constitution, and oddly, pirates. Mr. Bennett accused us of allowing hysteria, hate, self-righteousness and name-calling to replace reasoned discussion. I do enjoy a good irony.
So what have Democrats done to our country? How about Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, the 40-hour work week, paid overtime, the minumum wage, collective bargaining, child labor protections, workplace safety, safe food protections, public schools, clean air, clean water, and voting rights for women, African-Americans, 18 to 20 year olds, and most working people since we stopped poll taxes or property or property requirements. Dis you, your parents, or grandparents benefit from the G.I bill? On behalf of the Democrats, you're welcome. Did your daughter or granddaughter have a chance to participate in college sports? That was Title IX, and yes, we di that one too.
As for being Marxists, well, Democrat Harry Trumanstoof up to the Marxists in Korea, Democrat Jack Kennedy stoof up to Marxists in Cuba and East Germany, and farther back in history, Democrat Franklin Roosevelt led our nation in defeating fascists in Europe. Democrat Woodrow Wilson... Blah, blah, blah.
I will finish this letter tomorrow.
Joe
If they will publish it this Thursday, this is my response...
“Joe the Terrorist”?
Jim and Helen called me a racist, a bigot, ignorant, a disgrace to the human race, bitter, unhappy, vile, hateful, a lunatic, a radical, stupid, divisive, and even unworthy of having my opinions heard. But no mention of specifics. Typical. It was the exact hate, hysteria and name calling I accused the Left of in my first letter. Intolerance and hate for anyone that opposes them. But I stand by the complete accuracy of my letter two weeks ago.
Patrick’s letter was a mess, but not unexpected. Let me explain.
Liberals are not liberal. Classic liberalism, like that practiced by our Founding Fathers and all of pre-modern America, stands for limited government, personal responsibility, and free markets. None of which the Democrat Party stands for. The Constitution has an annoyingly small list of federal powers that was never intended to be a “wouldn’t it be cool if some of the neat stuff the Federal government did was these things,” but rather as a “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” That last irritating part is a little known part of our Constitution called the 10th amendment. Part of the Bill of Rights. But it’s not important. Forget I even mentioned it.
But wait. I’m not a Democrat. Unlike Democrats, I do not want to impose my will on everyone, as Patrick accused me of. I want the Leftists in Massachusetts, California, and New York to be as Leftist and Communistic as they want to be in all of their Marxist glory. But if any State does not want to concentrate all power in the hands of a few elitists in their capital or in Washington, but rather trusts themselves to manage their own lives, then good for them. Let them. Who are you to tell them what to do? It is clear. You are Democrats.
It is ironic that the moronic “middle” in this country hates Republicans for spending and acting like Democrats, but then would decide to vote for… a Democrat? There is no understanding some people.
Marxism/Socialism is about control. It is about control of almost everything through government. What exactly was that “Freedom” thing that America was known for except for freedom from all forms of central control and tyranny? Like King George III of England? The fascism and Nazism of Hitler and Mussolini, the Imperialism of Hirohito, and the Communism of the Soviet Union, Castro, Mao, and Kim Il Sung? We oppose tyranny of any kind. Especially the Marxist kind that will forever be masked with the lie: “We Care, so let us have control of your lives.” What if I don’t want you to? What if I want to take of myself and mine. “Well, then you are an enemy of the State.” But what about freedom? I thought that people forcing me work for them and their ideas was slavery? “Yeah, well usually, but you forget: We Care.”
Here is what we get for our trouble: "In the past 40 yrs. the Feds have spent around $1 trillion/yr. on aid to the poor. 80% has gone to the agencies that serve the poor, creating a poverty industry. Violence & poverty are up and education is down despite the spending." That from Robert Woodson of the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise. How many Democrats know or care about this little tidbit? That means 2/3 of the Federal budget, which is unconstitutional according to the actual Constitution, has only 20% actually getting to the people.
But it doesn’t end there: The waste and fraud in our welfare agencies approaches or exceeds 50%. Leaving only 10% of our initial investment into the Democrat “Paradise through Central Planning.”
But even that isn’t the whole story: The entire 20% that actually gets to people through “welfare programs …have been ‘like an acid that’s eaten away at the family structure.” So says civil rights activist John McDermott of Chicago, a multitude of studies, and common sense. So we have a whole host of social problems that are more disturbing and horrific in their detail than most people have a stomach for --- all thanks to our friends in government on both sides of the fence. Thanks be to the Democrats that support Marxism, and thanks to the Republicans that are in bed with the Democrats that support Marxism. Big government does not work. People will always have problems. We do not need to pay government to make them worse.
Then, as for us not being a Christian country, I think the French historian Alexis de Tocqueville (not a Christian, I believe) might give us some insight. He wrote in Democracy in America in 1835 that Europeans practiced religion from a “barren traditionary faith which seems to vegetate in the soul rather than to live,” but Americans “combine the notions of Christianity and liberty so intimately that it is impossible to make them conceive of one without the other.” In contrast to America, the French believed that religion and freedom were incompatible. To the contrary, De Tocqueville said: “There are certain populations in Europe whose unbelief is only equaled by their ignorance and debasement; while in America, one of the freest and most enlightened nations in the world, the people fulfill with fervor all the outward duties of religion.”
De Tocqueville pronounced religion “the foremost of the political institutions” in America. He said there exists no country in the world “where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America.” As a result, “while the law permits the Americans to do what they please, religion prevents them from conceiving, and forbids them to commit, what is rash or unjust.”
These statements, common sense, and the churches that dotted the American landscape from its inception, would beg the question whether Buddhists, Muslims, or Sikhs had as large of an impact on this country as Patrick O’Keefe thinks. In fact, the reality of our Christian heritage is undeniable. But the Left does not want it to be so, and their intolerance towards these facts is endlessly on display.
Finally, again, there is no such thing as Separation of Church and State in the Constitution, and culture does not equal race. If I do not like the French, no one calls me a racist. But if I say I do not like Mexicans, and I mean only their culture, the Left calls me a racist. And no, I am not a racist, for all the good it does to say that to the hateful Left.
I am open to a public debate on these issues as long as it is moderated. I will keep a running log of these letters on my website. I can be contacted at Joe@OurRepublic.us.
